CONCOURS DE LA PLUS BELLE PHOTOGRAPHIE DE SPORT AFRICAIN
CONTEST FOR THE BEST PICTURE IN AFRICAN SPORTS
A moins d’un an des Jeux Olympiques de Pékin, l’Association des Comités Nationaux Olympiques d’Afrique (ACNOA), en partenariat avec l’Union de la Presse Francophone et Canal France International, lance le concours de la plus belle photographie de sport africain.
Réservé aux reporters/photographes du continent, ce concours récompensera, en mars 2008, les auteurs des 5 meilleures photographies de sport. Un jury, spécialement constitué à cet effet, réunira, sous l’autorité du Président de l’ACNOA, des personnalités du monde du sport et de l’Olympisme pour sélectionner les photos. Tous les sports olympiques pourront faire l’objet du concours, sport de haut niveau ou sport pour tous.
Le vainqueur remportera un voyage d’une semaine à Pékin, pendant les Jeux Olympiques de 2008 (transport aérien et frais de séjour). Les quatre autres lauréats se verront récompenser de prix liés à leurs activités (appareils photos numériques, téléphones, …)
A partir du 15 février 2008, les meilleures photos, ainsi que les références de leurs auteurs, pourront être consultées sur le site de l’ACNOA : www.acnoa.info. Les internautes seront alors invités à voter pour leurs photos préférées.
Les plus belles photos, choisies par le jury et les internautes, seront ensuite exposées à Pékin au sein du Village Olympique Africain qui sera mis en place dans la capitale chinoise pendant toute la durée des Jeux. Les photos seront également publiées dans les supports de communication de l’ACNOA édités à l’occasion des Jeux.
Les photos, envoyées en format numérique uniquement, devront être légendées (par un texte de 3 lignes maximum) en français ou en anglais. Elles sont à envoyer, avant le 10 février 2008, avec les références du photographe, une photocopie de sa carte d’identité et si possible, de sa carte de presse à l’adresse suivante : concoursphotoacnoa@acnoa.info. Une seule photographie par personne est autorisée.

In the lead up to the Beijing Olympic Games, the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), in partnership with the Union of the French Speaking Media and Canal France International, launches the contest for the best picture in African sports.
This contest is open to photojournalists of the African Continent and is intended to reward the authors of the best 5 sports pictures next March 2008. A Special jury to be set up to that effect, and chaired by ANOCA President, will bring together Sports and Olympic personalities to select the best pictures. All Olympic sports will be considered for this contest, including high performance sports and Sports for All.
The author of the best picture will win a one week trip to Beijing during the 2008 Olympic Games (air ticket and living expenses included). The other four laureates will receive prizes relating to their various activities (digital cameras, telephones, etc.)
As from 15 February 2008, the best pictures, as well as their authors’ résumés, will be posted on the ANOCA website: www.anoca.info. Internet users will be then invited to vote for their best pictures.
The best pictures that will be chosen by internet users and the jury will be displayed in Beijing at the African Olympic Village that will be opened in the Chinese capital throughout the Games. These pictures will also be published in all ANOCA communication outlets that will be issued on the occasion of the Games.
Pictures must be exclusively submitted in digital format and accompanied with a legend (maximum 3 lines text) in French or in English. They must be sent, together with the photographer’s résumé, a photocopy of his Identity card, and, if possible, of the Press Card, by February 10, 2008 to the following address: anocapicturecontest@anoca.info. Only one picture per photojournalist shall be accepted.
