Women and Sport
The ANOCA Women and Sport Commission is composed of 15 women from different
backgrounds who have the willingness to actively promote participation of women in sport in Africa at all levels (technical,
administrative and decision-making structures).

Objectives
- To develop more initiatives to increase the presence of African women in sport at practical and management level;
- To encourage the organisation of training programmes for women in different areas of sport (leadership, management, coaching, referring, journalism, etc.);
- To highlight women who have worked and contributed to the development of physical education and sport in Africa at all levels;
- To ensure a more equal representation of women in decision-making and administrative structures and to fix a minimum quota of 20%;
- To undertake studies and research on the subject of Women in Sport in Africa.
