To make a study on women’s participation in structures of African sport;
To include more women in all ANOCA Commissions;
To develop an information manual on the promotion of women in sport in Africa;
To enable women to benefit from training in leadership, management, coaching, journalism, etc.;
To ensure that women’s candidatures be considered for the ANOCA »Olympic Initiative Prize«;
To ensure that women (sportwomen, leaders or coaches) can be awarded with ANOCA honorary distinctions, aiming at rewarding persons involved in sport in
Africa and promote Olympic Values among young people;
To develop communication on women and sport through a dedicated page on women’s participation in sport in Africa;
To organise meetings and forums in the seven zones and ensure their harmonisation;
To maximise the participation of African women in the IOC world conference on Women and Sport in 2008;
To contribute to the creation of an African Museum of «Sport and Olympism»;
To take advantage of sports events in Africa in 2005-2008 to maximise opportunities of formal and informal meetings of the Commission (African Games, Zone Games, etc.);
To evaluate the actions implemented annually ;
To present an activity report at ANOCA General Assemblies;
To ask ANOCA to procced to the implementation of the amendement - proposed by the previous ANOCA «Women & Sport» commission related to
Gender Representation - to the constitution to include either as a separate clause or into clause 10 the following : «Gender Representation»
There shall not be discrimination on the basis of gender in all committees of ANOCA. If gender representation is not fulfilled by election, the Executive
Board shall co-opt members to represent the Gender onto the Board.
