SOS-Kinderdorf International Organization

Taking the opportunity of the All Africa Games, ANOCA visited the SOS Children’s Village of Draira of the International Organization Kinderdorf. Every SOS Children’s Village offers a permanent home in a family-style environment to children who need some help for shaping their own future. The SOS Children’s Villages have been created since 50 years and are based in 132 countries in the world.
SOS Kinderdorf International has been involved in Algeria since the earthquake of El Asnam. The SOS Children’s VIllage of Draira, located in the south of Algiers, has been created in 1992 and gathers many children. Most of them practise sports as athletics or kick-boxing.
